Since 2009 she has been collaborating with Michel Martinus, the city poet of Harderwijk. This collaboration includes a number of projects in the fields of computer art, large poetry panels and computer music.
From 2012, Monica collaborated with poet and writer Job Degenaar on a visual story, which was published in May 2014 by publishing house Liverse in Dordrecht under the title: "Het Orakel van Parijs". The initiative for this publication came from Monica. The opposite route was taken: the illustrations preceded the author's text. For a photo report click on Monica Maat - Het Orakel van Parijs. 2014 - 2015 In the spring of 2014, Monica started writing a poetic play entitled: Deluge in New York'. The piece contains many disciplines such as music, song, drama, mime, reflection, film and ballet. Monica wrote the music and lyrics for the songs herself. From September 2014 she founded a theater company, with rehearsals and directing. Rehearsals will take place until June 2015 for a performance in the Agora Theater in Lelystad and the small art theater Posa. Monica owes a lot to Mariëlle Potters of ballet school Reflex in Lelystad. She had created a beautiful choreography for the piece and rehearsed the complete ballet weekly with her students. Also the unwavering support of Kevin Potters, director of cabaret Theater Posa in Lelystad, should not be missed! Special thanks also go to Anne Graalman, who did a lot of work for the musical arrangement, and to art photographer Marga Wiebenga, who took beautiful photos for the performance, and made special video recordings in concept, which were to be used for the performance. In short, it could have been an artistic performance like no other. Unfortunately, due to time constraints on the part of some members of the company, Monica was forced to end the collaboration in June 2015.
