Work in the context of: "View on News" for an exhibition at Omroep Flevoland in October 2015 and in the Flevomeer Library Lelystad from August 2016. Subject: 'The new wilderness'. [News item is the film about animal life in the Oostvaardersplassen near Lelystad that was completed in 2014.] For two years, several film crews followed the foxes, geese, kingfishers, deer and the largest herd of wild horses in Europe. The film has been a great success. In my imagination/interpretation, foxes are incorporated into a man-made wilderness, with an apparently well-ordered nature, but appearances can be deceiving, nature goes its own way and has its own stories, also on this screen!
