Title: "Black and White chokes on the poisonous apple of cuts to art and culture." "Which prince kisses me?" This kitschy work in a Mondrian-like setting was created for the playful protest exhibition [April 2012 at Kunsthuis Calliope and in 2013 at the Almere Library] with the theme: "The artist quits," in response to the impending destruction of art and culture. The title speaks for itself. The small canvas featuring Black and White is mounted on reflective material inspired by the fairy tale of Snow White, and in this case, the frame is part of the work.
