'Mokerslag', does the culture disappear in one go? What does that say about a civilization? What knowledge do we lose and what is the influence of this in the longer term?

Outdoor object 'Mokerslag' [Sledgehammer/ Demolition hammer] is made for the inner garden of the New Library in Almere. This work has been made in the context of the exhibition: "Kaalslag in kunst en Cultuur", with the subtitle: "the artist will stop". [Demolition in Art and culture] In the garden there is also a base with Art. 22 from Amnesty International. Monica: It seems that there is no longer a grip on what art actually means for society. It's a sort of litter, that needs to be cleaned up. Politics does not seem to defend it.
